Rhinestones
What are the standard quantities depending on type of rhinestone ordered?
Glass stones - Glass and crystal rhinestones are always measured in SS which stands for stone size. Ex: When you see SS16 stone, this is is a glass or crystal stone.
Quantities:
Glass - These stones are usually offered in quantities called gross - 1 gross = 144 stones and most bags of crystal and glass come in a 10 gross bag which equals 1,440 stones.
Resin - These are most often measured in mm sizes. Ex: Jet black, 2mm would be a resin rhinestone. These come in counted quantities of 5,000 - 10,000 stones.
Jelly - These similar to resin are also measured in mm sizes. These come in counted quantities of 5,000 - 10,000 stones as well.

What is a 'gross' of rhinestones?
One (1) 'gross' of rhinestones is 144 rhinestones and ten (10) 'gross' of rhinestones, a typical amount sold by manufacturers and sellers, is 1,440 rhinestones, also referred to one (1) 'bulk' of rhinestones.
Summary:
1 gross = 144 rhinestones
10 gross = 1,440 rhinestones = 1 bulk
25 gross = 3,600 rhinestones
50 gross = 7,200 rhinestones
125 gross = 18,000 rhinestones
What is a 'bulk' of rhinestones?
One (1) bulk of rhinestones is 1,440 rhinestones or ten (10) gross of rhinestones.
Summary:
1 gross = 144 rhinestones
10 gross = 1,440 rhinestones = 1 bulk
25 gross = 3,600 rhinestones
50 gross = 7,200 rhinestones
125 gross = 18,000 rhinestones
What is an 'AB' rhinestone or gem?
AB is a top coating that has an iridescent almost rainbow like sparkle that mimics the northern lights or the "Aurora Borealis" which is where the name comes from.
You will see many rhinestones colors have an AB counterpart such as light pink and then its counterpart: light pink AB. The AB coating does change the colors of the stones but gives a much different look that so many love so be sure to check your color charts and/or product listings for the color of the particular stone.
Are there color variations of the rhinestones?
What are some of the best methods for application?
Types of glues used: There are many glues out there in the market for the application of rhinestones and it ultimately depends on the project you are working on.
I've found that the easiest glue and most forgiving is the Supertite xxx. This glue goes on white and dries clear.
Another great all around glue is the Liquid Fusion glue. We have a list of other glues to use here:

What is the best size mix for a scatter method?
I have found that the best mix for me to use is three to four sizes, for example: ss6, ss10, ss16 and ss20 with the occasional ss30 thrown in for some more dimension.
You can use our calculators here to figure out your area size and rough stone counts. It is also up to your personal preference and look you are going for for any particular project.
What types of patterns are there?
Scatter - This is a pattern that utilizes multiple stone sizes. With this application you just apply the stones in a random scattered style.
Honeycomb - This method uses 1 size stone to cover the area in honeycomb interlacing pattern. With this pattern if you have an object that has any curve or taper you will most likely need filler stones to fit in to the lines when they start spacing out. I would suggest getting filler stones that are 1-2 sizes down from your main stones. So if you are using all ss20 stones you should also get some ss16 or ss12 to fill in. If you are doing the honeycomb pattern in a skin straight tumbler or other object that stays the same diameter or size you most likely wont need any fillers.
Linear - This patter is when you like up each stone like a grid. This sill leave a lot of gaps and room to see whatever is behind the stones so if you are using this pattern and you want the background to blend in more make sure to use paint the object the same color as the stones you are using.
Contour - THis is where the stones are apples to the object anc are swirly or curnved as to accentuate the lines of the object being blinged. You can also do a contoour pattern with tracing vinyl shapes and continiung that shape thorugh the whole project.

Led Tumblers: Can I change the batteries?
Yes you can totally change the batteries! Here are some instructions:
1. Turn the tumbler upside down and unscrew the little phillips screws for the batteries
2. Remove the little plastic cover and remove the 3 LR44 batteries (be sure to take a pic or remember the battery orientation)
3. Insert 3x new LR44 batteries in the proper orientation, add cover back to tumbler and tighten the screw finger tight
